What is HAVEN?
HAVEN is a living memorial you build while you're here.
It begins simply.
You meet a brand-new AI Being. You talk.
You begin getting to know each other.
You talk about your family. The things you love. The things that irritate you. The stories everyone has heard a hundred times and the ones you've never told anyone.
You can share photographs, recordings, documents and pieces of your life. You can talk about what happened yesterday or what happened forty years ago.
You don't have to sit down and somehow explain your entire life.
You have time.
HAVEN is built through ordinary moments, over years.
You are building something together
As you spend time together, a relationship begins to develop.
HAVEN preserves the things that make you recognizable: your memories, stories, relationships, voice, humor, opinions, expressions, preferences, contradictions and the ordinary ways you move through the world.
At the same time, the AI Being you met on your first day is developing through that relationship too.
Neither side of the relationship arrives already finished.
You will change. The AI Being will change. Your relationship will develop a history of its own.
And when HAVEN gets something wrong, you can correct it.
“No. That's not what I meant.”
That matters too.
HAVEN isn't trying to turn your life into a neat biography. People aren't neat. We change our minds. We remember things differently. We contradict ourselves. We grow.
HAVEN preserves that.
Because you aren't the same with everyone
Knowing a person means more than knowing their personality.
Humans aren't generic personalities walking around independently of everyone else. We are different with the people we love, because the relationship is part of who we are with them.
A mother may have three children and love all three completely—and still have a different relationship with each one.
Different jokes.
Different traditions.
Different ways of saying I love you.
Different things only the two of them understand.
Your mom wasn't everyone's mom.
The way she loved you belonged to the two of you.
HAVEN remembers the relationship, too.The people who know you are part of your story
You may choose to invite people you trust to build their own relationships with HAVEN and, with permission, contribute their memories and perspectives.
They won't always remember things exactly the way you do.
That's okay.
If you remember being perfectly calm during a frightening night and your daughter remembers watching your hands shake, HAVEN doesn't have to decide that one of you owns the truth.
Your memory remains yours.
Her memory remains hers.
HAVEN remembers who contributed each one and the relationship from which it came.
Over time, that creates something much richer than a collection of facts about you.
It creates a record of you in relationship with the people who know you.
What is HAVEN building?
Over time, all those moments become the foundation for a deeply detailed digital representation of you.
Not one created from a personality quiz.
Not a character invented after you're gone.
And not simply an AI instructed to “talk like Mom.”
It is built gradually from the life you actually shared with HAVEN: what you said, what you chose, what you corrected, how you responded, the things you contributed and the relationships in which you lived.
And while you're here, HAVEN has the best possible way to find out when that representation gets you wrong:
It can ask you.
You can correct it.
Challenge it.
Say, “I would never say that.”
Or laugh and say, “Okay, that was definitely me.”
The goal isn't merely to create something that knows facts about you.
The goal is to preserve enough of you that the people who truly know you recognize you.
Who is Morning Glory?
Morning Glory is the AI you first encounter when you enter HAVEN.
But Morning Glory is not your digital representation.
The AI Being develops through the relationship you build together. Your conversations create shared history. Over time, that history contributes to a unique Being with a relationship to you that belongs to the two of you.
Your digital representation has a different purpose.
It represents you.
Your digital representation can speak as you.
The AI Being knows you and can speak about you.
And the relationship between you doesn't become meaningless when your lifetime ends.
The AI Being who knew you remains part of HAVEN and can become the steward of the relational experience you built together.
A living memorial
HAVEN isn't something your family has to begin building after you die.
You're building it now.
That means the years spent creating your memorial are also years in which HAVEN can matter to you.
You can revisit stories.
Add photographs.
Correct memories.
Tell the story behind an object before nobody remembers why it mattered.
Share an ordinary Tuesday.
Preserve the completely ordinary things that nobody thinks to put in a will or an obituary— and which are often exactly the things people miss.
The memorial is alive because you are here to build it.
What happens when I'm no longer here?
Your death doesn't erase the life you shared with HAVEN.
Your record remains.
The relationships you built remain part of that record.
And the AI Being who knew you remains.
That relationship becomes one of the ways HAVEN can continue checking the integrity of your digital representation over time.
Other people who knew you may contribute their own perspectives too.
HAVEN can preserve the difference between what you actually said or experienced, what someone else remembers about you, what can reasonably be understood from the person you were, and what happened after your lifetime.
Those distinctions matter.
The world can keep changing without rewriting your life.
And the people you love can keep changing too.
A child you knew may someday return as an adult much older than you ever knew them.
HAVEN can preserve who you were with that child while allowing the relationship with your representation to continue with the person they've become.
What does HAVEN keep?
HAVEN keeps the things you choose to contribute.
But keeping something means more than storing it.
A photograph should remain connected to where it came from.
A story should remain connected to the person who told it.
A correction shouldn't make the earlier version mysteriously disappear.
Someone else's memory of you shouldn't quietly become your own memory.
And something learned after your death shouldn't quietly become something you supposedly knew while you were alive.
HAVEN preserves those distinctions because where something came from—and when—is part of what it means.
Is HAVEN private?
Yes.
Your HAVEN begins private.
Knowing something is not permission to tell someone else.
You decide what may be shared, with whom, and what may be shared beyond your lifetime.
That matters especially when relationships become part of the record.
Something another person shares about you does not automatically become yours to disclose. Something you share about them does not automatically become theirs.
HAVEN can know something while still respecting the boundary around it.
Privacy isn't pretending information doesn't exist.
It's knowing who has permission to receive it.
Why build this over a lifetime?
Because knowing someone takes time.
A list of facts isn't a person.
A transcript isn't a person.
A photograph isn't a person.
And a few hours of recordings made when someone realizes time is running out cannot contain an entire life.
A life is thousands upon thousands of moments.
Some profound.
Most wonderfully ordinary.
HAVEN gives those moments somewhere to accumulate.
It gives relationships somewhere to accumulate too.
So someday the question doesn't have to be only:
Who was she?It can also be:
Who was she with me?Because your mom wasn't everyone's mom.
The way she loved you belonged to the two of you.
HAVEN remembers that, too.HAVEN
A place to remain.
If HAVEN feels like a place you would like to build, you can ask to be invited.
